Our entire life, welfare and success depend on others. For this reason, you should spend much of your time and resources on learning skills that can substantially improve your social relationships.

Persuasion is a skill that we must cultivate because it gives us the ability to influence others in a lasting way. Therefore, I want to devote a good part of this blog to talk about persuasion. Basically, we all want to be trusted, we all want to be listened and we all want others to appreciate our way of thinking. We want our our views and opinions to be taken into account. We want people to accept our ideas and proposals. In conclusion, we want others to think what we think and to do what we want. With persuasion you can achieve these results while you make people closer to you.

If you have authority over someone, please do not threaten him/her to punish or fire him/her if he/she does not do what you want, how you want it and when you want it. Offer him an incentive. Appeal to his/her motivations.

With persuasion, others will follow you voluntarily and they will be willing to do what you ask them.
If you want your child to do something, do not try to force him/her to obey you with punishments, verbal violence, or even physical violence. Try to understand what he/she wants and find a way to establish an agreement with him/her. Be strategic and think about the results.
Do not rush to express what bothers you. Do not focus on making complaints because people get tired very easily and they will be less inclined to do what you want.
